Chief of Defense Staff and Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva has been appointed as the Chairman of the National Sports Selection Committee by the Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs Namal Rajapaksa.
Suresh Subramaniam, President of the Sri Lanka Olympic Committee, Maxwell de Silva, General Secretary of the Sri Lanka Olympic Committee, Arjun Rishia Fernando and Mohamed Hafeez Marso are the other members of the National Sports Selection Committee.
Letters of appointment were handed over to the new members of the National Sports Selection Committee last Friday (02).
